Our Investigations Bureau has eight full-time AZPOST sworn investigators, a computer forensic analyst, and a senior administrative assistant. Most investigators have an average of at least 25 years of law enforcement experience. The members of this bureau work with Pinal County prosecutors to enhance cases for prosecution and assist them in preparing cases for trial. In addition, the investigators in this unit use their experience and expertise to assist law enforcement agencies within Pinal County in the investigation of major crimes.
During a typical investigator's day, they locate and interview witnesses, serve subpoenas, assist with documentation of crime scenes among other investigative duties.
Our experienced investigator's assist some law enforcement agencies in our county with firearms and other essential training. In addition, these investigators also participate in presentations to demonstrate and educate the community about our role in the criminal justice system.
