Can I speak with the prosecutor?
Generally, yes. While ethical rules and the stage of a case or investigation can sometimes affect whether a prosecutor can discuss a case with certain persons, victims and witnesses are encouraged to communicate with the County Attorney’s Office. Please have applicable case and/or police report number(s) available to help us promptly and appropriately direct your communication.

Where can I get information about my case?
Pinal County Attorney's Office may be able to help you with the information you are seeking. However, if you are a defendant you may need to contact your attorney. Otherwise, if you are a victim or witness, you will need to contact the prosecutor assigned to the matter. All you need to do is contact the PCAO main phone number (520-866-6271), and we will direct your call to the appropriate attorney.
How can I find out the date, time and location of my court case?
The answer depends on which court is handling the case – Superior Court, Justice Court, or City Court. The best way to find that answer is to check the caption on the complaint to see which court it is listed and then call that court’s clerk.

Can I get information about an inmate?
This depends on where the inmate is incarcerated. If the inmate is in the Pinal County Jail, please refer to the PCSO Jail website.
What is the Diversion program and am I eligible?
The Deputy County Attorney may allow the defendant to enter into the Pinal County Attorney’s Adult Diversion Program. Program participation is contingent on a defendant's eligibility as well as the discretion of the assigned prosecutor and the Court. For example, Program participation may not be available to violent offenders, or persons who have been convicted of prior felony crimes. Under this Program, the defendant will be required to sign a contract, whereby he/she admits to committing the crime and agrees to abide by certain conditions for a period of time, including paying restitution to the victim.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Participation in and completion of targeted professional counseling, treatment or other interventions*.
- Community service
- Full payment of restitution
- Monthly supervision fee
*Defendant pays for the counseling, treatment and other referred services.
BENEFITS:
- Dismissal of charges (no conviction)
- Targeted intervention avoids the chance of repeating criminal behavior in the future.
- Ease the strain on the overpopulated prisons
- Defendant paying costs of treatment, saves the state the costs resulting from imprisonment as well as the diversion program.

Some of my personal belongings were seized as evidence for a case. How can I get them back?
Case evidence cannot typically be released until the case and any ongoing or potential appeal(s) are entirely completed. Inquiries about the release of evidence or any other seized property may be direct to the law enforcement agency that has custody of the property.
I am the victim of a crime. How do I contact my Victim Advocate?
The Pinal County Attorney recognizes that the effects of crime can be devastating and that crime victims often feel traumatized by their experiences. Once a case has been formally charged, you will be assigned a victim advocate. Your victim advocate can provide support, resources and assistance in navigating the criminal justice, misdemeanor justice, or juvenile justice system.
