Coolidge man sentenced to three life sentences for sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15

(FLORENCE, AZ) - A Coolidge man has been sentenced to three consecutive life sentences for sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15.

On September 29th, 2023, Pinal County Superior Court Judge Steven Fuller sentenced Jesus Grajeda, 45, to three consecutive life sentences in the Arizona Department of Corrections.

A jury found Grajeda guilty of three counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor Under the Age of 15, all Class Two Felonies and Dangerous Crimes Against Children.

In September 2021, the Coolidge Police Department responded to a home in regards to an incident involving a juvenile under the age of 10. A woman reported that Grajeda had been inside a locked bedroom with the juvenile and the juvenile reported illicit sexual contact with the defendant. During a forensic interview, the juvenile disclosed that Grajeda initiated illicit sexual contact with her on at least three occasions. A physical examination was conducted which resulted in findings consistent with the juvenile’s disclosure.
