Pinal County Attorney’s Office Reports on Juvenile’s gun threat made to teacher at Coolidge Junior High

Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller announced today that a juvenile gun threat was made towards a teacher at Coolidge Junior High. Three calls were made early this morning starting at 12:30am, with the last call made around 1:16am. The juvenile called a teacher multiple times stating that he would bring a gun to school. Students at Coolidge Junior High School were searched this morning due to the threat. An investigation led to finding the juvenile responsible and upon questioning admitted to saying that he would bring a gun to school but said that he was prank calling the teacher. He has been transported to a juvenile detention center and will be charged.

Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller does not tolerate threats of violence against teachers. Threats like this will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We will make sure that our community feels safe and will do everything our power to protect children.
