FLORENCE, AZ (September 25th, 2024) - Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer announced Skyler Strahan, 21, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for engaging in sexual conduct with a minor, and also possessing sexually explicit images of children.
On September 23rd, Pinal County Superior Court Judge Jason Holmberg sentenced Strahan to 10 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections, followed by lifetime probation.
Strahan pled guilty to Sexual Conduct with a Minor, a Class Six Felony; Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a Class Two Felony and Dangerous Crime Against Children; and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor in the Second Degree, a Class Three Felony and Preparatory Dangerous Crime Against Children.
In June 2023, the Apache Junction Police Department was made aware of a possible sexual exploitation of a minor under the age of 16 involving Strahan. The juvenile victim disclosed to police that she had been engaged in sexual conduct with Strahan and had exchanged explicit images.
Investigators conducted a forensic examination of the juvenile’s phone and located explicit conversations and images exchanged between the victim and Strahan. During an interview with Strahan, he acknowledged awareness of the victim’s age, which is under the legal age of consent.
During a search warrant on Strahan’s home, investigators also discovered sexually explicit images of children.
